Dr. Mengele

Josef Mengele (also knows as the Angel of Death) was the chief doctor in Auschwitz during WWII. After he finished school he went to Munich to study philosophy and after that he studied medicine at Frankfurt University. In 1937 he joined the Nazi Party and a year later joined the SS. He fought in Russia but was wounded and was unfit for combat, but when he got better he volunteered to work at  Auschwitz. He selected who was gassed at arrivals and who survived.  And those who survived remember him choosing who goes to the left (the gas chambers) and who goes to the right (work). When the war was over Mengele became a fugitive and escaped to South America.

Mengele and some other Doctors where interested in human experimentation. They mostly happened on prisoner, manly Jews across Europe, Romani, Soviet prisoners, and disabled Germans. Mendel will choose dwarfs, people with disability, but he preferred twins. Mengele would use many drugs and poisons on one twin and use the other as a "control group" in order to make theories on his experiments then later on kill both of the twins and compare bodies. He once tried to sew twins together to create Siamese twins; its would become badly infected. He also tried to inject blue dye in their eyes to see if they changed color. He used over 1,000+  pairs of twins.

The Ovitz Family

Mengele was interested on this family of seven. He drew blood till they passed out and vomited, he would also pour hot water in their ears following with freezing water. Doctors would remove their teeth and eyelashes with out any anesthetic. Mengele would feed the family and give them makeup and clothes to change into but later on he will take them and present them to SS people and they would come up and prod them.

Questions:
1. Where did Mengele escape to?
2. Was he considered a Doctor?
